Similar to the ‘little black dress’ no café or restaurant should be without a Tolix yellow bar stool. Small but perfectly formed at a height of 46cms, these fabulous stools are an exact copy of the original Tolix bar stool introduced to France in 1934 by Frenchman Xavier Pauchard. Boasting a perfect combination of form and function these iconic stools are made from powder coated steel with a yellow matte finish. Simplistic in their style they feature a generous sized seat which is supported underneath with a cross strut, and legs which gently taper towards the bottom and are finished with a rubber cap to prevent slippage. The stools are lightweight and yet surprisingly robust and can be moved easily from one place to another and stacked on top of each other for storage.
Classic or contemporary – you choose
When it comes to using your yellow Tolix stools you’ll be surprised at how effortlessly they fit in with your existing décor and café furniture. The style has an understated elegance about it which somehow works with all manner of other furniture styles and materials as well as with different décors. Perfect for awkward spaces these small Tolix stools can be grouped around a black table set against white walls with a white tiled floor and other black café tables and chairs. Perfect for customers just wanting to sit and chat over a coffee. Use an accent colour such as red or lime green to contrast against the neutral colours and elevate the look. Alternatively why not mix and match red and black Tolix bar stools with shiny black tables for a look that is chic and contemporary. Tolix stools are perfect for using in small spaces and you could group several together around a small table to literally get more bums on seats at your peak times.
